Qatar Team (B) won the 22nd Arab Beach Volleyball Championship after defeating Oman Team (A) 2-1 in the match played today in Doha. Qatar (B) won the title after a deserved victory (21-19, 18-21 and 16-14) showing a high technical level. Qatar (A) came third after winning its match against Lebanon 2-1 (21/19,12/21 and 15-13) In the Semi-finals held also today, Qatar (B) defeated Qatar (A) after winning 2/0 (21/16 and 21/13) and Oman defeated Lebanon (B) 2/0 (21/14 and 21/15). Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi, President of Qatar Volleyball Association and the chairman of the organising committee, expressed happiness that the two Qatari teams ascended the podium, pointing that winning both the title and the third position is big accomplishment considering the fierce competition witnessed by current version. He extended thanks to the participating teams and the subcommittees for contributing to the success of the tournament. Source: QNA
