Saudi Arabia stretched their winning run in the Fifth GCC Futsal Championship for the Hearing Impaired, being held at Khalifa Sports City's gym in Isa Town. The defending champions outplayed Oman 8-3 for their second successive victory in this five-team round robin competition. On the second day of the tournament, the Saudis put up a spirited show to remain undefeated after two games. The victors now lead the championship with six point. Mohammed Al Shammiri and Majid Al Asmari fired a hat-trick each in Saudi Arabia's emphatic win, while Hamad Al Amri and Abdulmajeed Jawadi (2 each) were also on target for the victors. Oman, who played their first game in the tournament, were unable to match the strength and high pace of their opponents. Their goals were scored by Hassan Al Ghamdi, Ghalib Al Thaibani and Abdulla Al Shiri. In another match, the UAE held Kuwait to an exciting 7-7 draw. Scoring for Kuwait, who claimed a 3-1 lead at half-time, were Ahmed Al Otaibi (3 goals), Mohammed Al Shammari (2), Hussain Al Ajmi and Mohammed Al Ajmi.
