Syria snatched six gold medals in the Afro-Arab Powerlifting Championships 2018 currently held in the Moroccan city of Meknes.
Player of Barada Club and the national team Lara Turk gained three gold medals in the women’s 57 kg category, while the other three medals were gained by the player and trainer Ziyad Mohamed in men’s 105 kg category.
The African Powerlifting Federation organizes this Championship for the first time in Morocco with the participation of most of the African Unions and the Arab ones represented by Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Algeria, Libya , Somalia and Morocco as well as Iran as a guest of honor.
