Khalid Soomar and co-driver Mohammed Al Wardi in a Mitsubishi Evolution 7 emerged champions of the the fourth round of Oman Rally Championship 2012 held in Sur. The rally is being organised by the Oman Automobile Association in cooperation with Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Sport Affairs and Ministry of Tourism and sponsored by Oman LNG, OMIFCO, Sur Beach Hotel, Al Qabaas Printing Press and Al Watan. In second place was Khalid Al Minji in his Mitsubishi Evolution 8 and in third spot was Faisal Al Rashdi. The overall championship will be decided after the completion of fifth round to be held in Muscat in December. Chief guest Salem bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, undersecretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Sheikh Ali Al Hashar from Oman LNG and Hamed Al Hashmi from OMIFCO, Salim Ali Khalifa Al Maskiry, chairman of Oman Automobile Club presented the trophies to the winners.
