Sports achievers ceremony set

A ceremony to reward Bahrain’s sports achievers for 2015, 2016 and 2017 will take place today (Thursday) at the University of Bahrain’s Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa’s Hall in Sakhir.
The event, which commences at 7pm, will be organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in appreciation to the Bahraini athletes with outstanding achievements in the past three years.
It’s organised as per directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President.
The BOC has completed all arrangements for tonight’s function, in which over 800 athletes and administrators, will be honored.
National sports federations have already received an official letter from BOC, requesting lists of all their respective sports achievers, and invited their representatives to attend ceremony.
These awards will be presented to the athletes in accordance with the standards of the incentive and rewards regulations of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
