H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairman of Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club (ADIMSC), on Friday honoured Team Abu Dhabi 6, driven by Gary Ballough and John Tomlinson, who won the team's first ever UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix yesterday.
Victory 3, driven by Aref Al Zafain and Nader bin Hindi finished second followed by T-Bone Station, driven by Italian duo of Giovanni Carpitella and Luca Formilli Fendi.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa greeted President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the team's win.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa commented, "Team Abu Dhabi will always be a star-maker as long as it has outstanding Emirati members who can attain the highest degrees of excellence. This team has presented us with this wonderful victory clinching the historic UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship title."
