The organising committee of the "Challenge Bahrain" international triathlon championship announced the completion of all the technical procedures at the swimming, cycling and running sites of the event, which takes place on Saturday.
The committee, with the cooperation of various supporting authorities, have identified the swimming lane which will be held in the Gulf of Bahrain Bay for a distance of 1.9km.
It will be followed by the cycling leg of the triathlon for a distance of 90km, where the athletes will starting from the Gulf of Bahrain Bay, passing through Shaikh Isa Causeway and heading towards Amwaj Islands in Al-Hidd, then passing through Prince Khalifa Causeway and through Al-Fateh Mosque and Sheraton Hotel. The cyclists then ride through the Hamad Town highway, then to University of Bahrain and reaching Awali before return to the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
Challenge Bahrain will then end with the running leg for a distance of 21.1km, to be held at the BIC and the surrounding areas of the circuit. The committee also has provided more than 3,000 parking spaces for the spectators at the start point of the race.
