Tina Tesfaye and Rabih Sfela teamed up effectively to win the Commercial Bank International (CBI) Corporate Golf Challenge at the Emirates Golf Club on Tuesday. The duo carded a score of 51 stableford points to beat their nearest challengers, Ornella Parigi and Borgobello Ellida, by a good four points. The team of Steve Willams and Martin Lamber (47) finished third on a countback with Suresh Shewakramani and Nishit Patel settling for the fourth place on 44 points. The third and final event of the CBI challenge series attracted a strong field of over 80 players, representing leading corporate houses. The series followed the two-ball betterball stableford format over the Majlis course, the venue of the forthcoming Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Reed Global won the overall team prize with 96 points, beating Team Servitalia on a countback. Sharda Trading Establishment finished third, five points off the pace. Prizes, including TaylorMade clubs, hospitality tickets for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and gift vouchers were presented to the winners. Head of Treasury & Investments at CBI Wayne Andres presented the prizes and thanked the players and the sponsors - Jumeirah Group, duplays, Sport360°, Aetna and TaylorMade - for making the event a success.
