The UAE this year will see the organisation of the first UAE President Shooting Competition, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the UAE Shooting Association and member of the Administrative Council of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), revealed during a graduation ceremony for judges and trainers.
'The shooting sports in the UAE is fortunate to have the support of Their Highnesses the leaders of the country, a motivation that helps foster creativity among shooters so as to score best results in competitions,' he said, urging the graduates to raise the national flag aloft at international sports championships and serve as good ambassadors for the UAE shooting sports.
This year, he added, the Federation would also launch a national programme for young male and female shooters under the supervision of an international veteran shooter.
