Cairo – Arabstoday

Zamalek's Amr Zaki said he has no intention of leaving the Cairo-base club, after recent reports raised suspicions. A touchline row between Zaki and coach Hassan Shehata during last Saturday's training session cast doubts over the future of the combative frontman, who angrily left training following the verbal exchange. However, the 29-year-old took part in training on Sunday after quickly resolving the dispute with Shehata, with whom he enjoyed a warm relationship during the highly-respected tactician's spell as manager of Egypt's national team. ''All reports that said I plan to depart are completely false. I will remain at the club until the end of my contract, which expires in the summer of 2013,'' Zaki told Zamalek's official website. "I'm solely focused on Zamalek's African Champions League campaign and the upcoming game against Ivory Coast's Africa Sports." Zamalek will face Africa Sports in Abidjan on Sunday in the second leg of the Champions League round of 32. They claimed a 1-0 win in Cairo, thanks to an early goal from Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi. ''Despite feeling pain in my knee, I will do my best with the club in the African encounter,'' Zaki added
