Florida's Kenny Boynton fired in 22 points Sunday and the 10th-ranked Gators posted a rout in their delayed season opener, 84-35 over Alabama State. Boynton went 8-of-10 from the field and Patric Young helped out with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Gators (1-0), whose scheduled first game against Georgetown Friday was canceled due to court conditions. Erik Murphy and Mike Rosario also reached double figures with 15 and 14 points respective for Florida, which had its 2011-12 season end with a quarterfinals loss to Louisville in the NCAA Tournament. Alabama State (0-2) was led by Joshua Freelove and Bobby Brown, who combined for 26 points.
