James Michael McAdoo ignited an early North Carolina charge Wednesday and the No. 9 Tar Heels rolled to a 112-70 victory over Chaminade. North Carolina wound up with a third-place finish in the Maui Invitational and bounced back from its first loss of the season, which came against Butler in Tuesday's semifinals. The Tar Heels built a 62-33 lead at halftime and McAdoo finished with 18 points to lead a balanced scoring attack. Reggie Bullock and Leslie McDonald both had 17 points and Brice Johnson had 16 for North Carolina (5-1). The Silverswords (3-3) were led by 22 points from DeAndre Haskins. North Carolina will next be in action on Tuesday against No. 1 ranked Indiana as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
