Force India beat IBQ by five wickets to win the 23rd CDC Division-II cricket tournament last week. After being put into bat, IBQ were 18 for two at the end of the fourth over before Raj slammed 55 off 28 balls to help them post 161 for eight. In reply, Force India, with contributions from Charles (23), Gallege (21) and Thilan (23), reached 163 for 6 in 18.4 overs. Raj of IBQ was declared man of the match. Individual prizes were won by Hanif of Ideal Indian School (best batsman), Rahid of Al Shaqabel Real Estate (best bowler), Naveed of IBQ (best all-rounder and Tahir of QVC (best wicket-keeper) Sanjiv Jain, business development manager at CDC, was the chief guest at the concluding function.from gulf times.
