Thomas Mueller has said Germany now want the World Cup title after inflicting a record 7-1 defeat on hosts Brazil in Tuesday's semi-final to emphatically silence their critics.
Mueller claimed his fifth goal of the World Cup to kick off the rout in Belo Horizonte as the Germans ran riot by claiming five goals in 30 incredible first-half minutes to floor the Selecao.
"We haven't reached our goal yet, we will put our foot to the floor once again and put our heart and souls into it to win this thing", said Mueller.
"We can't run away with ourselves, just as it was said that we were finished after the Algeria game, now we'll be praised to the heavens.
"That's really the wrong approach -- we're really just a very good team."
Mueller said the Germans were surprised by how much space Brazil offered them to exploit.
"Of course, we didn't expect that score, but you can see how different games can go," said Mueller.
"Brazil reacted differently and moved forward fast when they won the ball, which left more space than you get against defence-minded teams.
"We used that until the middle of the first half and at some point, the opponent has to break."
Toni Kroos and replacement Andre Schuerrle both scored twice while Miroslav Klose made history of his own by calming his 16th World Cup goal to become the tournament's all-time sole top-scorer.
Sami Khedira also netted in the rout before Oscar scored Brazil's 90th-minute consolation goal.
The Germans will play either Argentina or the Netherlands in Sunday's World Cup final in Rio de Janeiro.
