Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization edged Ulker 99-98 in a pulsating game decided only in the waning seconds in the 2012 Perfetto Basketball Tournament Second Conference organized by Industrial Sports Association (ISA) at the Industrial City Dawa Office (ICDO) court on the outskirt of Jeddah. Grain Silos court general Aries Macaspac was chosen the Best Player of the game with 27 points, delighting the crowd as usual with along with his daredevil moves. After losing to powerhouse Butler in the opening game, finally, in a wild game with numerous momentum swings, Grain Silos bounced back and outlasted Ulker in a one-point game win. Macaspac was held scoreless in the first quarter, but in the second he exploded with 11 points. Bautista added 7 of his 21 points and De Guzman 8 of his 24 points to lead GS by 10 points after the first half of action. In the third and final quarter, Ulker retaliated with Leo Tablante scoring heavily to finish with 34 points. Quintanes and Princess each scored 14 to help Tablante. But Ulker lost the game after it missed two free throws. Fired-up Al-Yamamah outlasted Boom Boom 65-61 in a tense contest. Bolarde, with 18 points, was chosen the best player. Bolarde made his presence felt in the final quarter when he scored 13 points to go with his valuable rebounds and defensive skills. Angulo and Ojeda each added 12 points for Yamamah. Ferpania led Boom Boom with 20 points, Laroya added 15 and De Guzman 12. Green Vision defeated BRC, 62-51 and the chosen best player was “the man with the third eye”, Vargas, who scored 18 points and displayed quick hands with the ball. Arevalo and Cruz combined for 24 points to support Vargas. UCIC found its shooting touch in the final quarter to beat Flex Pack 69-55. Named best player was Cabrera with 22 points while Cogal added 20.
