London - UPI

John Isner edges back into the men's tennis Top 10 this week, with Juan Martin del Potro slipping out of the top tier. A shift in the ATP schedule cost Del Potro more than 200 rankings points but he'll have a chance to get them back as he looks to defend his title at the Estoril Open in Portugal. Isner didn't play last week but moves from 11th to No. 10 due to del Potro's drop. Gilles Simon, who won the tournament final Sunday in Romania, goes from 12th to 11th this week. Rafael Nadal narrows the point difference between his No. 2 spot and No. 1-ranked Novak Djokovic. Nadal, for the seventh time in eight years, on Sunday won the Barcelona Open while Djokovic lost points. Unlike del Porto, Djokovic won't get them back as he withdrew from this week's Serbia Open because of the death of his grandfather. Djokovic, with 13,020 points, has been on top of the ranking for 45 weeks. Nadal has 10,170 points while Roger Federer remains third at 8,880 and Andy Murray (7,860) comes in fourth. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga sits in fifth with a total of 4,830 points, with David Ferrer in sixth with 4,280 and Tomas Berdych seventh with 4,080. Janko Tipsarevic (2,820) is eighth, 95 points ahead of No. 9 Mardy Fish, with Isner another 105 points behind Fish with 2,620. Simon has 2,525 points and del Potro 2,495. Tsonga, in the draw at the BMW Open in Munich, Germany, is the only Top 10 player in the three ATP tournaments this week.
