California - AFP
South Korea's Lee Dong-hwan birdied his final three holes to win the qualifying school on Monday and earn his PGA Tour card for next season. Lee, who competed in the 2007 British Open, finished with a five-under par 67 to receive medalist honors at the six-day PGA Tour Qualifying School. He also collected $50,000 in first place prize money. Former Ryder Cup team member Ross Fisher, of England, also earned his card. Lee finished at 25-under-par 407 and became the first international player to win qualifying school since England's Brian Davis did it eight years ago. Fisher shot a six-under 66 to share second place at minus-24 with Steve LeBrun (69). Fisher is a four-time winner on the European Tour. Billy Horschel and Richard H. Lee both shot 68 in the final round to finish at 23-under-par 409. They were tied with Kris Blanks (70).
