Jan Matura of the Czech Republic soared to his second career World Cup ski jumping win in Japan on Sunday, just 24 hours after his maiden triumph. The 32-year-old Czech leaped 132.5 and 133 metres to earn a total of 247 points on Okurayama hill in Sapporo in the 15th event of the 28-round men's individual World Cup series. Slovenia's Robert Kranjec finished second on 245.7 points with jumps of 131 and 134 metres and German Andreas Wank was third on 241 points after jumping 135 and 136 metres. Matura, whose best finish this season was sixth in the Polish resort of Zakopane before his win on Saturday, moved up to 13th in the World Cup ski jump standings with 308 points. Points leader Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria, who missed the Sapporo event, has 840 points, ahead of Anders Bardal of Norway on 721 points.
