Nene knocked down a pair of free throws with 26.6 seconds left in overtime Tuesday and the Denver Nuggets edged Atlanta 118-117. Nene first free throw tied the score and the second put the Nuggets ahead. The Hawks missed two shots under the basket as time ran out, allowing Denver to improved to 3-2 on its current nine-game homestand. Nene led Denver with 22 points to go with five assists and six rebounds. Danilo Gallinari and Al Harrington scored 19 apiece. Joe Johnson paced the Hawks with 34 points and Josh Smith had 33 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. Kirk Hinrich scored 22 for Atlanta, which lost for the third time in five starts.
