New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat in the fourth day-night international against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
New Zealand left out James Neesham, Anton Devcich and Nathan McCullum from the line-up of the third one-day match which they lost by 147 runs in Sharjah, bringing in Daniel Vettori, Adam Milne and Dean Brownlie.
Pakistan, who lead the series 2-1, left out fast bowler Wahab Riaz and out of form Asad Shafiq and brought in all-rounder Anwar Ali and batsman Nasir Jamshed.
Pakistan won the first and third matches while New Zealand won the second.
Pakistan earlier decided to go ahead with the match despite the tragic events in northwest city of Peshawar, where 141 people were killed in attacks by the Taliban.
