The win gave Buffalo 78 points, two fewer than the Capitals, who beat Detroit Monday 5-3. Ryan Miller helped the Sabres break a two-game skid with 24 saves. Bruno Gervais and Ryan Malone each recorded a goal and an assist for the Lightning, who fell to 1-4-0 on a seven-game homestand. Bolts goalie Dustin Tokarski was chased from the net in the second period after yielding four goals on 15 shots. Dwayne Roloson relieved and made 20 saves.
