Golfing prodigy Sana Tufail has gone a calendar year unbeaten with victory at every venue on the Emirates Golf Federation’s Ladies Order of Merit circuit, taking her winning run to 13 in a row. She now hopes to gain another invite back to the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters from December 5-8, after hitting 73-85 and missing the cut in her European Tour event debut last year. Having taken a maximum 90 points from the 11-stage 2012/13 season’s Ladies Order of Merit so far, the 16-year-old from Abu Dhabi’s British School Al Khubairat School, who plays off a plus-two handicap and represents England, adds to a record 10 in a row last season. She shot 74 to win the Abu Dhabi Ladies Championship, two 71s to win the Emirates Airline Ladies Open at Al Ain Equestrian, Golf and Shooting club, plus a 71 to win the BMW-AGMC Montgomerie Ladies Amateur Open in recent weekends. On top of this she has also won three monthly medals, two at Yas Links and one at Saadiyat, with scores of 70, 70 and 72 respectively. Should she be successful again this season it would be her second consecutive EGF Ladies Order of Merit title, following second place finishes in 2010 and 2010, a 2009 ladies net title and two girl’s nets in 2008 and 2009. Her recent success follows on from her creditable 20th-place finish at the Thailand Ladies Open, a world amateur ranking event, last month. Tufail said of that tournament: “It was a great experience playing in a World Amateur Event with some of the best amateurs in world. I was fortunate to be paired up with the eventual winner on the first day. Next time I will try to be at the event a few days earlier to get familiar with the hot and humid conditions, the ball plays very differently in Thailand; it makes one realise how quickly the professionals must adjust when playing different venues.” From : Gulfnews
