Saracens loose forward Will Fraser has been ruled out of the remainder of the European rugby season because of a longstanding back problem, the English Premiership side announced Monday.
Fraser had been spoken of as a potential England player but the back-row's career is now on hold, although Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall was convinced he could go on to gain full representative honours.
"It's obviously disappointing for Will and for us," McCall said in a Saracens statement.
"But it's obviously in everybody's interest to sort out these issues once and for all. Will is only 24, and he has plenty of great rugby in him, for club and country."
