Brandt Snedeker, who won the Tour Championship and $10 million for the FedEx Cup title, moves into the Top 10 of the men's world golf rankings. Snedeker shot 6-under-par 64 Saturday and had a 68 Sunday in winning the championship by three strokes over Justin Rose. That allowed him to win the overall FedEx Cup. He started the year ranked 38th in the world and was 18th going into the Tour Championship but jumps eight places this week to reach the Top 10 for the first time. Rose was the only other Top 10 player to improve his position, going from ninth to No. 5. World No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who won the two previous FedEx Cup tournaments, shot 74 Sunday and slid to a tie for 10th, which placed him second in the FedEx Cup standings. Tiger Woods, the No. 2-ranked player, had two rounds (73 Friday and 72 Sunday) over par and wound up tied for eighth. While those finishes hurt McIlroy and Woods in the FedEx standings, they didn't change their rankings. McIlroy is No. 1 for a seventh consecutive week and has a rankings point average of 12.676. Woods is second at 9.686. Luke Donald, third in the Tour Championship, remains third in the rankings at 9.252. Lee Westwood is still fourth at 7.230 while Rose's average is 6.507. Adam Scott (6.302) drops one spot to sixth while No. 7 Bubba Watson (6.172) is just ahead of eighth-ranked Webb Simpson (6.171). Jason Dufner (6.004) drops three places to ninth and Snedeker's average is 5.998. Steve Stricker falls out of the Top 10 this week. He is now 12th.
