Sri Lanka were 261-8 at stumps on the opening day of the second and final Test against Pakistan at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Thursday.

Skipper Angelo Mathews was dismissed off what became the last ball of the day for 39, leaving Dhammika Prasad unbeaten on four.
Upul Tharanga top-scored with 92.
Mahela Jayawardene, playing his last Test, made only four before he was leg-before to Saeed Ajmal.
Sri Lanka had won the first Test in Galle by seven wickets.
