Washington - Upi

France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga parlayed his top seed into a title at the Erste Bank Open Sunday, downing Juan Martin del Potro in three sets. Despite five double-faults, Tsonga used 25 aces to record a 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-4 win over the former U.S. Open champion, claiming his second championship of the season. Tsonga got his first serve in just 57 percent of the time but won 45-of-55 first-serve points in the performance, raising his career finals record to 7-3. Second-seeded del Potro, meanwhile, sustained his first loss against Tsonga in four career meetings. He fell to 9-4 in career finals.
