Washington - Upi
Sebastian Vettel turned in a dominating performance Sunday, claiming his 11th win of the season in the inaugural running of the Indian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver and two-time Formula One champion cruised to victory on the new Buddh International Circuit, parlaying the pole position into a start-to-finish lead. The 24-year-old German recorded the quickest lap of the day on his final time around the 3.192-mile course, ending 8.4 seconds in front of runner-up Jenson Button of McLaren. Vettel has already clinched this year's F1 title and now is aiming to equal Michael Schumacher's mark of 13 victories in the season's last two races at Abu Dhabi and Brazil, Button, meanwhile, clinched the second spot in the championship standings, while Fernando Alonso came in third Sunday. Red Bull's Mark Webber grabbed fourth place while Mercedes GP drivers Schumacher and Nico Rosberg finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
