Washington - Upi

U.S. figure skater Jeremy Abbott breezed to his third national title Sunday, dominating the field at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. After placing first in the short program Friday, Abbott again outpaced the competition Sunday, garnering 183.35 points during the free skate. That easily topped Adam Rippon's free skate score of 157.93 and clinched the title for the 26-year-old with a total of 273.58 points. Abbott also won national titles in 2009 and 2010. Rippon finished second overall at 240.87, while Ross Miner used a strong performance in the free skate to finish third at 230.32. Caydee Denney and John Coughlin took the pairs competition after winning Sunday's free skate, finishing with 189.70 points. Last year's champion, Ryan Bradley, retired from competition last May.
