Genzebe Dibaba of Ethiopia successfully defended her 3,000m crown at the World Indoor Championships here Sunday, romping to an easy victory.
Dibaba powered home around 50 meters clear of her nearest rival, compatriot Meseret Defar, clocking a time of 8min 47.43sec.
Shannon Rowbury of the United States took the bronze.
It was a third consecutive world indoors gold medal for Dibaba, who won the 1,500m crown in 2012 and the 3,000m title two years ago in Sopot, Poland.
