FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter wrote to the South African Football Association on Thursday to express his sorrow at the death of four Polokwane City players. In a letter to SAFA president Kirsten Nematandani, Blatter explained his sadness with regards to Khomotso Mpakatesane, Moeketsi Nthete, Mojalefa Mphuthi and Koketso Takalo, who were killed in a traffic accident. “I would like to say how saddened I was to hear of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of Polokwane City players Khomotso Mpakatesane, Moeketsi Nthete, Mojalefa Mphuthi and Koketso Takalo last Sunday,” wrote the head of world football’s governing body. “Coming so soon after the death of Thomas Madigage last month, this has been a particularly sad period for South African football. “On behalf of FIFA and the worldwide family of football, I wish to extend our deepest condolences to you, to Polokwane City, and, most importantly, to the players’ family, friends and loved ones.” From : Fifa
