Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh will miss Tuesday's Champions League clash against Marseille after suffering a knee injury. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed today that Chamakh has been ruled out of the French club's visit to the Emirates Stadium and the Moroccan could be sidelined for several weeks if it proves a serious problem. "Chamakh is injured. He has a knee problem and is not involved tomorrow," Wenger said. With Chamakh sidelined, Korea Republic captain Park Chu-Young is likely to be on the bench against Marseille. Wenger also confirmed that Thomas Vermaelen will be in the squad after the Belgian defender was only used as a late substitute in Saturday's 5-3 win over Chelsea. Vermaelen suffered a calf problem on his return from a long injury absence against Bolton last week and played for just two minutes at Chelsea, but Wenger insists he is fully fit to feature on Tuesday. Israel midfielder Yossi Benayoun is also available after missing the Chelsea game due to injury and ineligibility. Arsenal are one point ahead of second placed Marseille in their group and a win in north London would all but seal their place in the last 16.
