Mohamad Zidan's first appearance in the UAE league ended in disappointment as the Egyptian forward played only 33 minutes for Baniyas in a 2-0 defeat to Al-Shabab on Monday. The 31-year-old forward left the pitch after suffering a hamstring pain while the score was 1-0 to Al-Shabab. The injury's extent will be revealed later after he undergoes scans. Zidan made an excellent debut with his Emirati side on Wednesday when he scored in the 2-1 win over Al-Dhafra in the UAE Cup. Zidan joined Baniyas this summer after his contract with German Bundesliga side Mainz expired following the end of last season.
