Knicks guard Jeremy Lin has withdrawn from the USA men's select team that will train against the 2012 USA basketball men's national team during training camp in Las Vegas. Lin revealed he had been forced to pull out of the training team as he is now an NBA restricted free agent. "Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to participate in the 2012 USA men's select team this summer," he said. "It was such an incredible honour to be selected, but I have withdrawn my name from the team because of my status as a free agent. I hope to have the opportunity to participate with USA Basketball at some point in the future." Members of the USA select team will be in Nevada, beginning July 5 to train with the USA national team. The national team opens its training camp a day later.
