The deputy chairman of the Egyptian Workers' Union and the deputy of labor committee of Egyptian parliament, Mohamed Wahaballah, announced that problem of special allowance for employees of public sector companies is on its way to be solved, adding that representatives of workers union asked to hold a meeting with the Minister of Public Works Sector, Dr. Ashraf Al-Sharqawi, to set the exchange controls for 125 companies.

He said in an interview with Arabs Today that all workers in the state took the allowance, whether in civil service law or not, within the framework of equality, taking into account the social dimension. "We will not retract the social premium that has been added annually since 1987 until now," he stressed.

Wahaballah revealed that Minister of Public Works Sector stressed, during his meeting with representatives of workers and heads of holding companies three days ago, that he pays great attention to employees of public business companies. "The minister stressed the need to recognize the importance of preserving companies and seeking to upgrade them, because by increasing production, benefits of workers can be increased through various items according to Law 203 and its executive regulations," Wahaballah added.

He pointed out that the minister promised to pay all the financial dues for the workers of public sector companies in the coming period according to the law, according to the situation and status of each company, adding that the minister stressed that no worker can be deprived of his dues at all.

The Egyptian MP confirmed that the minister promised him last week during the meeting to strive to end the widespread anger among workers in all companies, not only in Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in Mahalla Al-Kubra , but also in many companies in the sector.

Wahaballah called Minister of Public Works Sector, Dr. Ashraf Al-Sharqawi, to held a meeting with representatives of workers in the holding companies to inform them of the fact of payment of the special allowance approved by President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi 10%, stressing that the workers in the companies affiliated with the ministry are resentful because the workers in the public sector got the special allowance, while they did not.
