Dan Shapiro, US ambassador to Israel, warned on Monday that the current state of Israeli-Palestinian relations has created a set of circumstances “that are leading to a binational state,” The Jerusalem Post reported.
In an interview, Shapiro told both Israel Radio and Army Radio that Palestinian violence and the Israeli government’s expansion of West Bank settlements both make the prospect of a two-state solution more remote.
