Egyptian Ambassador to Nigeria Ashraf Salama said Egypt's new leadership is committed to democracy and attaining development in the country.
In statements to MENA, he said he met with several media outlets in Nigeria to cast light on the recent developments in Egypt.
He said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is keen on offering a better life for Egyptians.
The ambassador noted that several Nigerian officials have called for congratulation over the victory of president Sisi in the presidential elections that were held in Egypt last month.
The ambassador quoted the Nigerian officials as expressing satisfaction over the fairness of the elections that were followed up by several representatives from the African Union, the European Union and many countries, including Nigeria.
