Leading member of Iraqi Powers Coalition Raad Al Dehilki
Baghdad - Najla Al Taee

Leading member of Iraqi Powers Coalition Raad Al Dehilki called the government for stopping what he said is a "demographic change" happening in Diyala and the cliff and the belt of Baghdad, calling the United Nations for taking serious steps to contain the violations committed against the Iraqi minorities. He blamed the government for the plans aiming to prevent the displaced people from returning to their cities.
He added that cities that have been liberated from the grip of ISIS extremist group for about a year and a half, while they are not qualified for living, saying that the displaced people are not allowed to return to their houses in these cities. He blamed the current authorities that took the responsibility of these cities from ISIS, saying that they adopt tougher approach than the extremists.
He added, "Today we need a real position from the international community to bring families back to their original cities and to keep the militias away from them. Even if their homes are destroyed and their cities are not livable, they must return to occupy their land, to prevent demographic change. The cities have been released a year and a half ago, and its people are not allowed to return by militia leaders.”
He stressed, “We have hundreds of thousands of students without schools for the third year in a row. If they do not find a quick educational incubator, they will be affected by the sectarian crimes around them, and then their extremism will be severe and dangerous, and everyone has to take responsibility and stand with Iraqis who fight on behalf of the world.”
He added that if the Sunni alliances found the solution of their problems in the withdrawal from the government and parliament, they would not be hesitated to do so as soon as possible to save their people from the governmental plans targeting them.
He stressed that if the government lacked the political will to return the displaced people to their cities, they would turn to the international community, saying that the government raises the reconciliation as a slogan.
On the other hand, he added that the Iraqi government needs to re-draw its relations with the neighboring states and to end any pending issues with them as soon as possible, saying that the Iraqi government should draw itself as an ally for the conflicting parties in the region to be qualified for playing the role of mediator in different regional issues.
HE added, “The world sees that terrorism comes from Iraq, Syria and some other countries, which posed a threat to the security and stability of their country, pointing to the events and attacks on several European cities such as Barcelona, Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels and cities in the United States also according to the standards of those countries in matters of security, stability, Investment and even human rights constitute a serious breach and threat because it does not allow it and works to upgrade rather than retreat in these areas.”
He indicated the need to develop plans that Iraq can employ for its benefit by addressing such problems and investing for it, especially in the field of land conservation after liberation and reconstruction of liberated areas.
