Spokesperson of Tunisian National Guard Khalifa al-Shaibani revealed that the owner of a company in Djerba provided 44 cars for the protesters.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that they have information that this person involved in corruption and is engaged in suspicious activities such as illegal car hire and smuggling, saying that they arrested a number of persons who involved in Incidents of vandalism witnessed in the country during the recent period.
He warned that there is a real conspiracy being waged against the security services against the backdrop of the Tataouine state protests, blaming recognized religious parties and smugglers for what happened in the Tunisian state during the recent days.
The protesters again took control of the oil pumping station in Tunisian city of Tataouin, while another number of protesters turned to expel the security elements from the city after their failure to storm the headquarters of the state. They burned the security vehicles in response to the injury of a large number of protesters.
