Argentina's top soccer players Sergio Aguero and Sergio Romero both arrived in the Argentine capital on Sunday ahead of the country's first qualifier for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Both Aguero, a striker for the English Premier League side Manchester City, and Romero, goalkeeper for Italy's Sampdoria, were reported to be suffering from injuries. Analysts here said that Argentina is considering alternative strategies. The 23-year-old Aguero last Saturday suffered a strained muscular injury during a match between Manchester City and Blackburn in the English Premier League while the 24-year-old Romero has suffered from an ankle injury in August that he still has not recovered from. "I am sad about this injury but I hope it can be managed because I always try to be available for coach Alejandro Sabella, Aguero told local press upon his arrival. Aguero is the son in law of Argentina's soccer legend and former coach Diego Maradona. Argentina's team doctor, Daniel Martinez, said he won't decide whether the two players can participate in the match until evaluations made up until the last moment. Argentina will play its first qualifier against Chile on Friday in the capital Buenos Aires before four days later traveling to the Venezuelan town of Puerto La Cruz where it will meet the national selection of Venezuela.
