Pele has become the latest high-profile figure within football to create an account on social networking website Twitter. The Brazil legend only joined the online social networking service on Monday evening and has attracted almost 100,000 followers in just a matter of hours. "Hello world, thank you for welcoming me to Twitter," the former Selecao star stated in his first post. "I am very excited to share my life with you. Love, Pele."The 71-year-old, who won three World Cups during his illustrious playing career, is regarded by some as the finest player of all time and he has served in a number of ambassadorial roles since retiring from football in 1977. Indeed, his opinions on all things football continue to generate great interest and debate among journalists and supporters alike.
