Dominika Cibulkova moves within one place of a personal record high ranking after her WTA tournament victory in California. Cibulkova picked up her second WTA title by beating world No. 10 Marion Bartoli 6-1, 7-5 in Sunday's finals of the Mercury Insurance Open in Carlsbad, Calif. That boosts her to No. 13 in the world rankings, just short of the No. 12 spot she reached in 2009. Sunday's other WTA winner was Polona Hercog, whose victory at the Sony Swedish Open was also her second career championship. The other was last year's Swedish Open. She rallied Sunday after dropping the first set 0-6 to Mathilde Johansson, eventually winning 0-6, 6-4, 7-5. Hercog moves to No. 62 in the rankings. She was at No. 86 before the Swedish Open. The women's tennis Top 10 is unchanged this week with Victoria Azarenka at No. 1 with 8,800 points. Agnieszka Radwanska is second at 8,530 and Maria Sharapova remains third with 8,370 and Serena Williams isn't far behind at 7,830. Samantha Stosur has 6,195 points, which is No. 5, and Petra Kvitova (5,275) comes in sixth. The rest of the Top 10, in order, is: No. 7 Angelique Kerber (5,170), Carolina Wozniacki (4,091), Sara Errani (3,620) and Bartoli (3,595).
