London - Arabstoday

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to continue their push towards a maiden league and cup double this season when they host Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. A 4-0 win over Holstein Kiel in the German Cup on Tuesday night means Jurgen Klopp's side are now just one step away from the final, while their fourth straight victory in the Bundesliga saw them overhaul Bayern Munich at the top of the table. A successful defence of their title is now in their hands and they will discover only hours after facing Leverkusen who their semi-final opponents in the cup will be. "We want to be part of one of the biggest highlights in German football," Mats Hummels told the Westphalian club's official website. "You don't play a cup final every day and, when you do get to Berlin, then you don't want to lose there. Our aim, therefore, is to win our last two games (in the competition)." Dortmund are not the only side still in the hunt to complete the double, two years after Bayern Munich managed that feat for the eighth time in their history. In fact, Bayern, who trail Dortmund by two points in the Bundesliga, could even complete a treble this season as they build up to their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie with Basle in just under a fortnight's time. The Bavarians, who defeated Stuttgart 2-0 to join Dortmund in Saturday night's draw, host Kaiserslautern on Saturday while fourth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach, who trail the league leaders by three points, are in action on Saturday evening against third-placed Schalke. Meanwhile, Hoffenheim, who were knocked out of the cup by the only remaining second division side Greuter Furth, will have a new man on their bench against Werder Bremen on Saturday. Holger Stanislawski was fired today and former Hertha Berlin coach Markus Babbel is rumoured to be on his way to Hoffenheim to seal his return to the Bundesliga just over a month since being relieved of his duties by the capital club. Since Babbel left Berlin, they have not been able to win a game. Wednesday's cup defeat to Gladbach was Michael Skibbe's fourth defeat in a row and he will be looking to end that worrying trend at Stuttgart on Saturday. Both clubs risk being dragged into a relegation battle in the event of defeat. Bavarian clubs Augsburg and Nurnberg are already in a relegation battle ahead of their derby match on Sunday while Cologne and Hamburg are still looking over their shoulders before they meet this weekend. Elsewhere, Wolfsburg can move to a season-high eighth position with a win over Freiburg tomorrow night while Hannover will try to further reduce the arrears on the top six with a win at Mainz on Saturday.
