Leicester City's Danny Drinkwater

Leicester City's Danny Drinkwater will not face further disciplinary action after being sent off in the Premier League leaders' 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

The midfielder was shown a second yellow card four minutes from the end of normal time at Old Trafford for pulling back Memphis Depay just outside the box.

Drinkwater reacted angrily when referee Michael Oliver sent him off but the official opted against reporting the incident and, consequently, no further action will be taken.

By contrast, Jamie Vardy -- Drinkwater's Leicester team-mate -- saw his ban extended to two matches following his furious reaction to being sent-off against West Ham United last month.

Now Drinkwater will serve a one-match for the red card, which rules him out of Saturday's match against Everton.

That fixture could see Leicester crowned champions, although they will win the title as soon as Monday if second-placed Tottenham Hotspur don't beat Chelsea."I am very sad because he will miss the next game at home," said Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri of Drinkwater.

Meanwhile Leicester and Manchester United are set to have to wait until Tuesday to discover whether the Football Association will take disciplinary action against Robert Huth or Marouane Fellaini for an off-the-ball clash at Old Trafford.

Television cameras showed United's Fellaini swinging an elbow at Huth after the Leicester defender grabbed his hair in an incident that appeared to go unseen by Oliver.

Officials are now set to wait for Oliver's official match report before deciding whether they should take any action against either player.

United manager Louis van Gaal said that if Fellaini was charged for his act of retaliation, then Huth should also face a disciplinary hearing.

"I expect first that Huth shall be getting a lot (of matches) because I don't think that is normal what he is doing," said Van Gaal.

"Fellaini is reacting like a human being because, when I grab you with your hair and pull it backwards, you shall do also something to me, I believe," the Dutchman added.
