The organizing committee of the London 2012 Olympics announced here Saturday that the preparations for the prestigious event was at its final stages and the event would hopefully be held on schedule. The committee told KUNA that preparations were focused now on putting the final touches on the 34 facilities which would host the events and athletes, adding that the plan was working in accordaning to schedule. A delegation from International Olympic Committee (IOC) paid London a visit last Thursday, expressing their satisfaction on the preparations for the Summer event. In regards to tickets, the committee said that the second stage of sales would begin after the draw for the Olympics Football competition on April 24th. It warned from advertisement claiming to sell tickets for the event, affirming that such acts were fraud. The committee noted that tickets for the Olympics reached 8.8 million, indicating that around 1.5 million tickets were left to attend the event to be held in three months time.
