The Ewa Wyrwicz-owned Magoum scored a fine victory in the Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival's Wathba Stud Farm Cup race held at the Sluzewiec race course in Warsaw, Poland, on Sunday. Magoum was ridden by jockey Marek Brezina and did very well to finish ahead of Syrus. Magma finished third, with Pritti Blue and Safar fourth and fifth respectively. It was the first race of the Shaikh Mansour Festival to be held in Poland this year and the fifth race in Europe this year. Four other Wathba Stud Farm Cup races have been held in The Netherlands so far. "I am very happy that my horse won. This is a great way to help us get more interested in breeding and owning Purebred Arabian race horses."We have a strong presence of Arabian horses here in Poland," said the winning owner, Ewa Wyrwicz. Poland will also host the Mansour Festival's Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup. "On Sunday we had one race in the Netherlands and one race in Poland under the umbrella of the Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival. We can already see the revival of Arabian racing in these venues," said Lara Sawaya, director of the Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival and Head of Ladies Racing in IFAHR.
