A second positive drug test has netted Sprint Cup Series driver A.J. Allmendinger an indefinite suspension, NASCAR said Tuesday. Allmendinger had been placed on a temporary suspension following a first positive result on a urine sample collected last month at Kentucky Speedway. A similar result after his "B" sample put him in violation of NASCAR's substance abuse policy. Allmendinger, 30, is in his first year as driver of the No. 22 Dodge for Penske Racing. He replaced the fired Kurt Busch in the car. "Penske Racing is very disappointed with the result of the B sample test and will evaluate its course of action as it pertains to A.J. over the coming week," Penske racing said in a statement. "Sam Hornish Jr., will drive the No. 22 Dodge Charger this weekend at Indianapolis and next weekend at Pocono." Under NASCAR rules, Allmendinger will not be permitted to race again until he successfully completes a drug treatment program.Type the text here
