Supporters have until February 1 to buy tickets for Euro 2016 in France later this year, UEFA said on Tuesday.
The news came as the window for fans of the 24 participating teams to watch their own nation closed with 3.5 million ticket requests via country-specific portals for the 800,000 places on offer.
Now a general sale has opened for fans not following a specific team.
"It allows those who have not applied yet to submit an application for single tickets in categories 1 and 2 and accessibility seats," said European football governing body UEFA in a statement on its official website.
Applicants will discover if they are successful or not by no later than February 29, UEFA said.
Following the draw in Paris last month, fans from 189 territories applied for tickets with the most popular matches being Germany-Poland, Republic of Ireland-Sweden and Portugal-Austria.
Polish fans even managed to submit more ticket requests that supporters from the host nation.
The tournament will be held across 10 French cities for a month from June 10.
The first ticket sale took place last July, before even all the qualified nations were known, with 11 million applications lodged.
