Newly-crowned men's 100 metres world champion Yohan Blake will compete at the Grand Prix meeting here on September 11, organisers announced on Tuesday. The 21-year-old - who according to several German newspapers will be paid 35,000 euros for competing - took full advantage of his compatriot and defending champion Usain Bolt's disqualification for a false start by taking the 100m title on Sunday in Daegu, South Korea. "We have reached agreement with the athlete," said meeting chief Martin Seeber. "We have to pay more than we would have done but it is worth it. "Our manager was desperately trying to get in touch with the Jamaican management before the world championships. "We were sure that he (Blake) would be on the podium." Blake, who is also Bolt's training partner, took gold in a relatively slow time of 9.92sec ahead of American Walter Dix and 2003 world champion Kim Collins of St Kitts and Nevis.
