Adam "Pac Man" Jones and Ndamukong Suh -- two players with plenty of experience of NFL discipline -- may be in for another close look from the league.
Cincinnati cornerback Jones, who was suspended the entire 2007 season after run-ins with the law, was called for unnecessary roughness Sunday for pulling the helmet from the head of Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper -- then banging the rookie's head into it as they were on the ground after a play.
Jones was allowed to stay in the contest, which the Bengals won 33-13, but the incident became an instant social media sensation and could well draw the attention of the league.
"There, I was 'in the moment' in that play," Jones said.
"I'm not out to do that. I don't want to hurt my team by no form or fashion but I've got to make sure I protect myself."
Suh, a defensive standout whose long list of fines by the league for on-field infractions didn't deter the Miami Dolphins from signing him to a record six-year, $114 million contract in March, managed to remove the helmets from two Washington players in the Dolphins' 17-10 win over the Redskins.
Stepping near the head of sprawled Washington back Alfred Morris after one play, Suh knocked Morris's helmet off, and he twisted off the helmet of Washington's Morgan Moses as Moses was blocking him on another play.
