Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka hold the top spots in the women's tennis rankings the week the draw is announced for the Wimbledon Championships. Sharapova took over the No. 1 place in the rankings a week ago after completing the personal Grand Slam with a win at the French Open. Azarenka had been No. 1 since winning the Australian Open in January, beating Sharapova in that final. There was one change this week in the top of the rankings going into the year's third major tournament. Wimbledon opens next Monday and the women's singles final is scheduled for July 7. In the change, Angelique Kerber switches places with Marion Bartoli and is now a career-high eighth after being ninth last week. Sharapova has 9,490 points in leading the rankings while Azarenka has 8,800 points. Agnieszka Radwanska is in the No. 3 spot with 7,230 points ahead of No. 4 Petra Kvitova (6,775) and Samantha Stosur (6,100). Serena Williams has 5,640 points, which is sixth most, while Caroline Wozniacki is seventh with 4,366 and Kerber has 4,055 points. Bartoli has 3,720 and French Open runner-up Sara Errani is 10th with 3,350. Melanie Oudin notched her first WTA title Monday at the rain-delayed AEGON Classic and goes from 208th to No. 122 in the rankings. The Gastein Ladies -- the WTA's other tournament last week -- went to Alize Cornet whose ranking improves 15 spots to No. 58 with the title.
